Paid In Full

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. But he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door and, instead of asking for a meal, he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"

Ten Inches of Water

A boy was sitting in a park bench with one hand resting on an open Bible. He was loudly exclaiming his praise to God. "Hallelujah! Hallelujah! God is great!" he yelled without worrying whether anyone heard him or not. Shortly after, along came a man who had recently completed some studies at a local University. Feeling himself very enlightened in the ways of truth and very eager to show this enlightenment, he asked the boy about the source of his Joy.

Cleansed and Freed

Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross we no longer need protection from God's wrath; in fact we can approach God without any fear - having the blessed assurance that God's wrath has been appeased through the death of Christ.

Resurrection Living

The old habits of sin and death that bound us need to be removed as Jesus calls us from the grave. Our eyes need to be opened. Our hands need to be set free. Our feet need to be unbound. Like Lazarus we need to take off the old and put on the new, new clothes befitting new life.

Two Horses in a Field

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if one stops the car, or is walking by, one will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing.
